Gesti is a documentary directed by Marina Terranova, where she goes on a journey to understanding the origins and evolution of Italian Hand Gestures over generations, and the Italian Diaspora between Naples, her village of origin, Postiglione, and London. (2021). press kit is here.
Producing this documentary for Marina was a surprisingly refreshing challenge that differs from fictional film making. The story is written as it is filmed and it is a different type of story telling.
Budget: £900 funding given. we only used 55% of the funding as it was all that was needed for the creation of this project. The rest went towards marketing and distribution at film festivals.
